I don’t think they were scared of Nisha being the Avatar. They said “no bending inside” like and did chores and were so cute and family. I think Nisha was just out of control, over flowing chakras and unsafe and we see her lose control and hurt them

I don't think they calles the autorities in the proper sense, as you said, they couldnt know Karthic was white lotus, but problably look for him for not being known as the parents of the Avatar. But we have to say, they knew both were avatars so being scared It's not the reason

Pavi had the mother daughter set, Nisha didn’t. I’m not convinced Nisha and Pavi are actually born twins. They knew Pavi was also the avatar, I’m thinking Nisha somehow came after.

The fact that I immediately thought the same thing… they literally left her while she was asleep because they were so scared of her. Everyone at that time was scared of the avatar and wanted to just immediately turn whoever it was in. Her parents KNEW what the people in power would rid to the avatar…

I think it also gives credence to the theory when even karthik was under the impression her parents didnt want her. I dont think he wouldve withheld as much as he did from her if they contacted the white lotus and not the brigade to turn her in.

i don't think so, cause we knew that they know that nisha and possibly also pavi can airbend and since the twins are naturally an earthbender so its unlikely that didn't knew that they can earthbend before airbend, in this case, during their flashback we saw how open and okay their parents is being a bender therefore they can't be scared about nisha is an avatar, nisha had possibly have anger issues and it affects her avatar powers or maybe she summoned a spirit or an anomaly thats why they're scared

I think nisha was the sacrifical lamb for pavi. Since they knew pavi also was the avatar, if Karthenic got rid of the avatar they would never know pavi was also the avatar.

This also explains why they chose to stay out of the Elorians' sight and never waited around to meet Kartik. Apparently, they lived as hermits in the desert and didn't want to serve Elora. That still doesn't excuse them as parents, though.

I don’t know if this storyline is over btw! We know that the parents saw Nisha as a destroyer, but they were also, seemingly, aware that Pavi can also bend all four elements, making her the avatar! I wish we get more information on what exactly their plan was!
