I saw people in the trailer park near the crash site saying basically pieces of human tissue ended up on their cars and houses

There have been pics shown of body pieces from yesterdays crash. Pieces…not parts

So when it rained and created that puddle in the hole, do you preserve and collect all of the liquid that was accumulated in that hole and surrounding puddles?

There’s no biomaterial left to work with. There isn’t even a plane left. Whatever fragments of useful biomaterial remaining surely incinerated in the flames unless there was distant scatter immediately after impact. Entirely my speculation, of course.

in a crash of this magnitude considering the angle & speed of which the plane crashed (not trying to be insensitive here just genuinely curious) wouldn’t it be a high probability that the only thing left of these bodies would be bones? how much can you pull from just bones if everything else has been incinerated?

It looks like the plane incinerated … there can’t be anything left

I literally just finished this book - not the same kind of crash at all, but so good. goes over thr crash itself, the aftermath, the ntsbn report, the autopsies. there are also a lot of good tiktoks about this crash.

What a lot of people are wondering is how are you going to conduct an exam with so little pieces, many of which are unrecoverable or recognizable. Ie, a single tooth or one pinky toe

in the same regard I've wondered for quite some time now what would the "remains" be on the titan submarine when they discussed that an implosion would vaporize a person and then be exposed to open ocean water.

In the case of this crash, I don’t think so…. They will be focused on finding dna. I hope the families are able to get something to bury or cremate….😢😢😢

As with most of what is left of the Jet (very little fuselage), it may be possible that these poor souls were vaporized.

This is probably a dumb question, but as a nurse I rely on IVs when I get blood work for patients. If they’re coding an IO or central line or maybe a peripheral if it’s high quality CPR. How do you get blood samples if the body (and body parts) have no circulation?

Miami Dade will likely come in and assist. They did the ValueJet crash where there was only small parts less than the size of a palm

It’s called the tox box. You send in tissues and fluids (if possible) of the pilots…. If you can identify the pilots that is.

Dr. Wolfe, how difficult is it to do an autopsy on a person who has already been embalmed? Does it compromise your findings or not necessarily? Love your channel by the way!
