@refsneedlovetoo: Very scary situation. Everyone should know to stop play immediately for any head injury, but we also need to be highly aware of any blunt force trauma to the chest. If there’s enough force at the right moment in time, it can cause an irregular heartbeat and cardiac arrest. Sometimes as referees, we can get distracted, thinking about discipline or cards when we need to be focused on player safety first and foremost.
