@thecat.reporster: Dan Campbell Gives an Emotional Update on Lions Star Jack Campbell After a Serious Neck Inj*ry Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell, 50, got emotional on Monday, Nov. 2 while updating reporters on linebacker Jack Campbell. Jack, 26, was hospitalized after a serious neck inj*ry in the second half of the Lions’ 19-15 home win over the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, Nov. 1. At the start of the fourth quarter, he went to tackle Vikings tight end T.J. Hockenson. His head collided with Hockenson’s hip, and he landed face-first on the turf at Ford Field. He stayed motionless for several moments as players from both teams took a knee. Medics placed him on a backboard and took him off the field on a cart. He stayed overnight at a local hospital. On Monday, Dan said he went to see him. “It was good, it was positive,” he told reporters. He said he saw Jack’s parents and talked to his wife. “Everybody’s in good spirits. It’s about the recovery and it’s a small setback.” The team said Jack continues to rest and recover. It said preliminary indications are positive, and that it will not share more information out of respect for Jack and his family. Quarterback Jared Goff said, “If anyone is tough enough to get through something like that it’s going to be him.” Campbell, a First-team All-Pro and the Lions’ 18th overall pick in 2023, is coming off a Pro Bowl-caliber season. The Lions visit the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, Nov. 8. What message would you send to Jack Campbell? #jackcampbell #detroitlions #dancampbell #nfl #lions
