Animation and kids movie are not synonymous. Stop associating animation with children’s media. They are two completely different mediums.

One really quick search of “why is wildwood rated pg-13” gave me all that info. I didn’t take my kids I just wanted to know why it was rated that. I was not however prepared for the insane war scene😅

Yep. Totally agree. Everyone saying “it’s PG-13”. It didn’t look anything like what the trailers looked like. There was much more in there than what the trailers made it seem like. “From the makers of Coraline”. Why wouldn’t we assume it’s going to be kids movie like Coraline? 😐 And people saying “didn’t you read the book?” No. I was like 20 years old with a baby when those books came out I was not a child haha. I just found out a few hours ago about the books because someone posted about them. Saw the movie last night and it was definitely much more graphic, violent and had a lot of adult content that kids may not be ready for. Even my teenager said she was not expecting all of that and she was shocked. And we LOVE Coraline. It’s always on throughout the year. I think many of us were lead to think it was going to be more kid-like as Coraline is.
