@taylor.pics: the moon i was aiming at had craters. the one on my screen was a white blob, and zooming to 600mm only made the blob bigger. all that black sky fools the meter into brightening everything, and the moon is a rock in full sunlight, so it burns white. what fixed it: aperture priority, exposure compensation down to about −3 (nine clicks on most bodies), stopping the moment the craters showed. it landed on f/11, 1/400, iso 400, right on the looney 11 numbers. worth saving before the next full moon 🌕 some setups need more than −3 before the glow goes. −3 or −5 for craters? #moonphotography #fullmoon #exposurecompensation #nightphotography #photographytips
