I recently learned that not everyone has conversations, arguments and bets going on in their head at all times. I can remember being pretty little and arguing with myself in my head. I was diagnosed at 36. Life changing.

I lash out bad. It’s ruined lots of friendships. Whole reason I don’t have any friends and my roomate is spending the night somewhere else right now at college

man, I was told as a kid that I did NOT have adhd, and I feel like my life might have been a little better or understandable had I been tested. thank you, I've been wondering why I've struggled with anger my whole life

Actually I have adhd and I honestly don’t get angry very easily. Annoyed or frustrated? Yes but never truly angry and when I am annoyed or frustrated, I am usually quick to calm down.

With the alcohol that’s why when me and my husband drink, we get about double the amount that were wanting because we both have ADHD and we know most of the time if we’re wanting about half a bottle or whatever next thing we know one of us finished off one full bottle by ourselves

The anger one is a funny one. I was once in an arguement with a girlfriend, and she said something that made my entire ADHD say "Wait, What?" That turned all of it off. I didn't pay attention to that until years later, take advantage of the "squirrel moment". I get that in most of the moment, it's all overwhelming and hard to think. Finding that moment where something that can distract you from what is going on can beneficial. You will find you aren't ¼ as angry as you thought you were.
