aubs, please don’t ever think that just because you’ve changed or made mistakes that jesus loves you any less. i know sometimes we look back at who we used to be and wish we could go back to the person who prayed more, read her bible, worshipped without feeling embarrassed, and put jesus first in everything. but i want you to remember that the same jesus who loved you back in march and april is the same jesus who loves you today. he hasn’t changed his mind about you, and he hasn’t given up on you. you don’t have to have everything figured out to come back to him. you don’t have to wait until you’re perfect, stop making mistakes, or have your whole life together. just start talking to him again. pick up your bible, even if it’s just one verse a day. pray, even if all you can say is that you miss him. worship him, even when you don’t feel like it. don’t let guilt convince you that you’re too far gone because you will never be too far for his grace. and aubs, please don’t just chase the version of yourself you were in march and april. chase a relationship with jesus that grows even stronger than it was back then. he loves you on your best days, your worst days, and every day in between. you are never too far gone, and you can always come home to him. i’m praying that you find that closeness with him again, because you deserve to experience the peace that comes from knowing him.
