I've been collecting on and off since I was a kid (im 30 now) but honestly this is the first time im probably gonna all out quit the hobby. havent gotten any cards in about 9months unless i want sets I really dont like or at a very inflated price which i dont. its not worth the money or effort tbh. I dont even collect for money I collect the cards that either I love the look of or nostalgia like base set gen1 but honestly considering all the joy I got as a child im not paying triple the price for a card

this hobby will keep getting burned by Logan Paul until he says its over and moves on into one piece, yugioh, magic, dragon ball, or other hobbies.

it's so cheap to play. so maybe collecting is dying but the number of players by me is growing

Still haven't been able to get a single ETB at MSRP, when a store gives me an alert there is one because I had it in wishlist, it sells out right away...not paying mark ups...

I stopped trying. I wanted to just collect for a master set but after Mega Evolution, I just looked at it as " well, I think I'll go to MTG for some type of fun."

I’ll believe it’s cooked when I can find cards at the store for MSRP.

It’s so interesting because online, everyone is saying they are leaving the hobby. In person, it’s a completely different story. More people are playing the card game in local shops and I’ve seen more kids interested in playing now than ever

If they went the way of Japan and had a hit in every pack it would all go away like overnight.

playing star wars unlimited now because I can actually buy cards at retail, maybe I'm stubborn but I'll never pay over retail for cards especially from re-sellers
