Wainwright's Coast to Coast, completed on the anniversary of losing my beautiful boy, Jake. Forever 15. This was before Walking 4 Hope became a registered charity. I was already trying to turn the unimaginable pain of losing my son into something that might make a difference in the lives of others. But this journey was about far more than walking 192 miles. These weren't things I learned from a textbook. They were lessons I began teaching myself through some of the darkest moments of my life. And I'm still learning. Walking 4 Hope grew from that desire to turn my love for Jake into something positive for others. Today, I continue sharing those lessons through my walks, my talks and my everyday experiences.
