I’ll never understand how we are the only school in the district (at least at the high school level) where the counselors schedule the meeting, collect teacher ed reports, facilitate the meeting, and document in the system while admin just sits there 🤦🏽♂️

We have a 504 coordinator, but I was responsible for sending out the paperwork to teachers and parents and attend meetings. The coordinator would send me emails with reminders of those students who were listed 504 before school began and just before school ended, we sat to review grades and pupil appraisal to determine who would be retained, attending summer school and/or promoted. Administration was ultimately responsible for the decision-I recused myself from that responsibility.
