Eastern States, in particular NSW and Victoria heavily rely on coal driven energy because they, unlike SA and to some extent other states and Territories, have been corrupted by fossil fuel payments.

On the issue of judicial and executive power in Australia, parliament making laws to overcome the implications of a judicial decision isn’t dangerous nor is it novel, nor is it a precedent. That’s the way our democracy is designed. Your description of the separation of powers is muddled as you imply that when a court makes a decision, parliament cannot make new laws that overcome or nullify that decision. That is not correct. Parliaments make laws, courts interpret them. If that interpretation means the law no longer reflects the will of parliament, parliament can make new laws. That is normal. Not novel, not dangerous. If this issue is so important, wouldn’t it be better to make your objections accurate? Who is served by suggesting falsely that parliament is acting improperly or beyond its powers?
