The African pygmy hedgehog (Atelerix albiventris) is a small and charming animal, loved for its compact body, delicate features and distinctive coat of spines. Its little face, bright eyes and tiny paws give it an expressive appearance, while its soft, rounded belly adds to its endearing look. Unlike its spiny back, the underside of its body is covered with soft fur. These little hedgehogs are naturally curious and spend much of their active time exploring their surroundings.
