@guyute420: 🌴 TODAY IN PHISHTORY — NOVEMBER 2, 1996 Thirty years ago today, Phish brought the heat to Coral Sky Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach, Florida. And if you were lucky enough to be there, you know exactly what kind of night this was! This show was something special from the start. Karl Perazzo sat in on percussion for the entire performance, adding an incredible rhythmic dimension to the band's sound. The first set delivered a fantastic run of songs, including “Ya Mar,” “Julius,” “Fee” (with Trey singing through a megaphone), “Stash,” “The Lizards,” and “Free.” But then came Set 2. A 24-minute “Crosseyed and Painless” exploded into “Run Like an Antelope,” creating one of the most memorable sequences of the entire Fall 1996 tour. The jam even featured Mike teasing the bass line from “Dave's Energy Guide,” with Trey briefly joining in. And just when you thought the night couldn't get any better, the encore brought out Butch Trucks of the Allman Brothers Band to join “Funky Bitch” on drums, while Fish played Trey's percussion rack. The show was eventually released as Coral Sky on CD and DVD, preserving an incredible night in Phish history. I was there, and I can tell you firsthand: this one was amazing. Some shows you remember.
