Those who put their tree up and decorate straight after Halloween need to be studied. Due to personal reasons, I no longer celebrate Christmas or even care to like it as I once did as a kid. As a kid you can’t wait for the holidays, but once you grow up and lose people and watch as the things that made it special are no longer around, it just feels like any other day. If anything, grief and severe seasonal depression hit because I lost someone very important to me not long after Christmas.

To me Thanksgiving is a day, Christmas is a season. After the year I have had, I just want to enjoy my Christmas village a little longer than a couple weeks . Sometimes it just helps after a hard year
