I tried Higgsfield today. I have been thinking about this tool for a long time. Every tutorial I found online was either rushed or trying to sell me something. So I sat down on a Sunday morning with my hibiscus tea and decided to learn it myself, mistakes and all. Higgsfield is an AI tool that turns text or a photo into a video. No camera, no crew, no editing skills. What I did: 1. I used Claude as my teacher. Every time I got lost, I took a screenshot and asked Claude what I was looking at. The homepage is mostly adverts, so this helped a lot. 2. I paid 29 dollars for the Pro plan. The free account gives you 10 credits, and 1 short video costs around 60. 3. I turned a photo of myself into a 5 second video. 4. I took a clip from one of my videos and asked the AI to change my jacket to a suit. The first attempt changed my whole face, so I had to tell it to keep me and only change the clothes. What I learnt: every attempt costs credits, even the ones you do not like. Shorter clips and lower resolution save you money. Test small before you go big. Is it worth it? For creators and businesses who need video content fast, I think yes.
