@tekkmood: Got the "your phone is not verified" text? Don't panic — but don't ignore it either. The NCC switched on its device checker on 7 October. If your phone was already on a Nigerian network before that date, you're fine — about 231 million devices were registered automatically. You do nothing. Buying a phone? Dial *315# BEFORE you pay. Tokunbo or brought in from abroad, it doesn't matter — an unapproved device gets 30 cumulative days of use, then it can be cut off. Same for modems, tablets and POS machines. Fails the check? Back to the seller with your receipt. If they won't help, call 315. It's free.
