@thenationalnews: Dubai has turned a public park into an outdoor co-working space, offering people the chance to work surrounded by nature for Dh50 a day. Omar Al Mheiri, co-founder of Letswork, explains the idea behind the initiative.
should’ve been free? you’d expect a public park to have public amenities? like a public library

This is a great initiative, looking forward to see more working spaces built in more areas around Dubai &UAE. Libraries and cafes are often packed or specific for students or forced to keep buying coffee to stay. For example MBR Library is nice but I think needs to better layout to increase the number of study spaces / tables & more cubicles. And it’s a bit far away considering traffic. That’s why building these workspaces is highly appreciated.

The online security is also important because when you’re going from workstations to outside stations, whether it’s coffee, coffee shops, whether it’s public libraries hotels, these are open Wi-Fi networks in the west that are prone to unlocking data points for a lot of workers in the west
