Start practicing your open water swims early, definitely a different feel than lap swimming. If you’ve got a Y nearby that’s a solid option for a gym with a pool. And highly recommend finding tri groups near you to train with. Lots of hours on the bike will make the biggest difference come race day. Practice fueling during training, but also keep in mind you don’t need a ton of gels for fuel. Rice crispies, gummy candy, etc all work really well too and are way more affordable

Pretty good. Could have waited on race shoes unless you go them for sale. Also getting a more daily trainer like the cumulus 27 or Nike Pegasus would have been better. Pretty good start tho. Now find what nutrition works for you boss

I'll be honest the alphas were a garbage choice since you cheaped on the bibs/no trisuit and cheap cleats. but anyway welcome to the club, invest in a good bike seat, good bibs, good trisuit, a bike fit. get a solid indoor trainer I recommend thinkrider x2max. get rouvy for training and long rides you can make custom workouts as well on it. get a pool buoy and paddles. buy good goggles. lock in your nutrition and hydration. formula 369 is the goat for that. heart rate monitor chest strap is very helpful. get a good baseline and workup from there in all 3 disciplines. do a sprint and an Olympic distance first you'll learn a lot from each. also STRETCH AND MOBILITY WORK
