this happened to me once over a rise i had been quoted in writing and verbally on a recorded zoom call. they said they couldn't access the recording and they'd backpack me as a courtesy but I wasnt getting the real pay amount. I never saw another raise across 2 more evaluation cycles there was always something keeping me Juuuust Below the eligibility line
