@bnbsbottlereturncorp: Who is the most admired president in American history? According to a CNN/SSRS poll, Barack Obama takes the top spot. The survey, conducted among 2,480 American adults in May 2026, found that 30% named Obama as the U.S. president they admire most, putting him ahead of every other president in American history. Donald Trump came in second with 19%, followed by Abraham Lincoln and Ronald Reagan, who tied at 9%. John F. Kennedy received 6%, while George Washington earned 5%. The poll also revealed significant differences in public opinion. Obama received a 57% favorability rating, compared with 34% for Trump and 30% for Joe Biden. Political divisions were particularly striking. Among Democrats, 64% chose Obama as their most admired president, while 53% of Republicans selected Trump. Nearly a decade after leaving the White House, Obama continues to maintain considerable popularity, particularly among younger Americans and independent voters. However, the survey measures public admiration rather than presidential achievements or historical performance. The results reflect the opinions of respondents at the time of the poll, not an objective ranking of presidential greatness. The findings highlight how differently Americans view their political leaders and how strongly certain presidents continue to influence public opinion long after leaving office.
