@oh.that.mom: Mom, why is it so easy to show our children grace, but so difficult to give that same grace to ourselves? 🤍 When our children make mistakes, we remind them they're still learning. When they struggle, we encourage them. When they have a difficult day, we comfort them. But when we make a mistake? We replay it over and over. We question ourselves. We wonder if we're doing enough. And sometimes we speak to ourselves in ways we would never speak to our children. But motherhood is a learning journey for us too. Heavenly Father, Thank You for another opportunity to grow as a mother. Today, help me be patient with myself. When I make mistakes, give me wisdom to learn from them without allowing shame to take over. When I feel overwhelmed, remind me that I am allowed to pause and ask for help. When I compare myself to other mothers, help me appreciate my own journey. Teach me to recognize my progress, even when it's small. Lord, help me remember that my children are not the only ones growing. I am growing too. And just as I want them to feel loved through their mistakes, help me extend that same compassion to myself.
