@armedforcesfacts: NAS Whidbey Island in Washington State is home to all US Navy EA-18G Growler squadrons, and that makes it the center of Navy electronic attack. The air station is two bases five miles apart: the Seaplane Base and Ault Field. Ault Field was named in September 1943. The Growler is a Super Hornet variant built to jam radar and communications. Twelve operational squadrons sit at Whidbey, and one more is forward deployed in Japan. The only Growler training squadron in the country is also at Ault Field. I got a tour of all the squadron rooms and met so many new pilots and mechanics there it was amazing these guys are so nice and it’s home to the infamous black ravens electronic warfare.

They don’t sit at ault field. They come and go during TAG sessions. Fly from NAS Whidbey to the TAG field and work there. They also do TAG’s at the base with P-8 Poseidon’s, because there are Poseidon squadrons at whidbey too.
