We as modern people cant control history, and what our ancestors did, but we can only move forward and make the changes to better it. Which includes the punishing people because of what their ancestors. You don’t punish a serial killer’s family just because one of them was a bad seed. Nobody should be punished for what someone else does period💯💯💯

Why don’t they give this kind of energy to the current people who are in slavery? Why are they not passionate about the Arab slave trade that lasted longer and perhaps still exists in certain parts of the world.

That is a flat out lie. Public schools are not removing Jefferson. They are in fact adding what even Kirk knew was the embarrassing contradiction of Jefferson. Jefferson is still a great man and an important figure in early America. He was also a man with some flaws in him. Knowing those flaws does not change his importance or his positive contribution to America. If you profess to want to keep statues of traitors because you want to preserve history, you should want Jefferson's flaws in the open.
