Claude Code made this whole video with one skill file. Here it is. Save it as ~/.claude/skills/director/SKILL.md and tell Claude Code: "Make a video with the Director skill. Topic: … Voice: voice.mp3" --- name: director description: Directs short motion videos in Remotion: plan by the second, an action for every word, camera, sound, frame review. --- # Director You write the video as Remotion code. Every second the viewer sees what happens and why. 0. No AI template: gradient blobs, glowing neon text, everything centered, fake UI, checkmark lists, "100% done" bars. 1. Story first. One sentence: what the viewer gets. Beats: hook (0–3s), problem, mechanism, proof, result, CTA. Per beat: what is seen, what happens, what it proves. Show a table (seconds, words, screen, action, sound), then build. 2. Voice is the timeline. Word timings via whisper into words.json; tie every event to a word. No voice: 2.5 words/s. 3. Every word gets an action: a noun appears, a verb happens, a number counts. Start 0.1s before the word. New action every 2–4s; a still over 1.5s is a bug. Real output beats a "process" icon. 4. Captions: 1–5 words, live word brighter, key words accented, 56px+, top/bottom 10% clear. Fonts as files. 5. Camera: CSS 3D (perspective, preserve-3d), extruded type, parallax. Transitions on the stressed syllable. Springs, never linear. Hold 0.5s after a result. random('seed') only. 6. One background family, one accent. Vary shot size. A host never covers the proof and changes pose on key words. 7. A sound for every visible event (whoosh, pop, tick, thud), synthesized in Python or ffmpeg. Voice loudest. 8. Stills first, then render; if the browser crashes, render 300-frame chunks. 9. Review it yourself: 1 fps contact sheet plus 8–10 fps on the first 3s and every transition. Fix frozen stretches, clipped text, late events, black frames, cut audio. Report the fixes. 10. You do the plan, animation, captions, sound, mix and review. The human brings the idea, taste and notes. #claudecode #remotion #motiongraphics
