Rob T :
I had a close call with rabies, I raised cattle and one day I noticed a calf was acting abnormal, I tried to care for it but it died the next day. the calf's saliva was all over my arms and hands as I attempted to bottle feed it, it's the saliva that's the deadliest, but thankfully a few days later another calf came down with similar symptoms, I say thankfully because if it wasn't for the second calf I may be dead now, this time I called an expert, he said it may be rabies, I had no idea at the time rabies is 100% fatal after the symptoms appear, a veterinarian came the next day and took the calf's head to be examined, came back positive for rabies, health department already had scheduled my vaccine treatments with a local hospital, took about a week of vaccine regiment, they say the rule of thumb is if your still alive by the last vaccine treatment your going to make it, sorry this is so long but I just had to write this in the hope it may help others.
