$3m for a $500k restoration minimum. Absolutely diabolical. Cut the price in half and it’s just barely reasonable.

Saw this house when it was open last Sunday. Its was jam-packed with looky loos. It's neither haunted nor is it livable in its current condition. But it is an amazing piece of Los Angeles history with a fascinating provenance. I suspect if one wanted to live as "Norma Desmond" did in the iconic movie, "Sunset Boulevard" this is the house for YOU! Make sure you hire a qualified preservation architect, though. Outside of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing concerns, this home also displays moderate to severe building envelope issues including structural. But, oh what a house! 😎

I agree with you. I hate when people buy these vintage homes and then turn them into gray black-and-white with chrome takes away all the beautiful charm and romance and inject. Something cold and lifeless.

I'm prepared to man the barricades to keep this treasure from being flipped. Anyone else? (Although I'll understand if that kitchen color is a bit too much for the next owner, so long as the result isn't horror-show gray and white.)
