My son had an echo at 2 days old in the NICU. He had what they called a “heart salad” so many missed defects but so glad they caught at 2 days old. He had HLHS/CoA/DORV/ASD

Life is Aggressive :
As someone who basically lives on call… get a twin xl heated mattress pad. Keep it in the car. When nights like this happen pop that sucker on a gurney throw a sheet down with your blanket and it’s heaven. Also bring your own pillow. I use a hulken bag to carry it all along with shower supplies and extra clothes for each season. It’s a game changer ❤️

When I took call if I got called in after about 1-2am I stayed too. Had a 30 minute drive and had to be back at 7am. I’m so glad I don’t take call now

when I was pregnant they saw something with my son, the sonographer came in at 3am when he was born for scans. He was born with left ventricle hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, and constriction of the Aorta. It was during covid so if was done in the room with me. I knew something was wrong cause she was super locked in. My son is now 4 and still doing very well.
