@katiethomas.19: 7 pumping mistakes that could be decreasing your milk supply! Not including not eating enough, not sleeping enough and stress but those are the obvious ones 😅 I really hope this helps!!🫶🏻🤍 #breastfeeding #milksupply #pumping #nicunurse #breastmilk
That’s wild!! I exclusively pump and go 9+ hours overnight without pumping and my supply has never changed. I’ve always gotten 60oz per day. Must vary per person!

It’s so cruel that the most important pump is the MOTN pump, why did our biology do that to us 😭 my baby is sleeping through the night at 3 months and allllll I wanna do is sleep while she does

Question my lactation consultant said for me to wait to start pumping after the first month. she said that I will produce too much milk, I want to stay pumping so dad can help as well with feedings. baby is almost 2 weeks and gaining weight, she was born at 7 pounds 8 ounces & today 8 pounds 9 ounces

What if I pump right after feeding the baby a bottle? It’s hard to pump while trying to bottle feed her. I have to due to her premature birth for awhile.

I pump every 2-3 day and every 4 overnight and thank goodness my supply has been steady!!! I also do two let downs but with low suction and it works for me but this advice was the opposite what I was told by lactation! But works for me! 🤷🏻♀️

Thank you for this video and your experience towards the topic. I am a nurse too and a mom of 2 who exclusively breastfed both of my babies until 27 months old and still breastfeeding my second. The only thing I don’t agree with is the waking up in the middle of the night. Both of my babies slept through the night starting at 3 months old. Both slept 10-12 hrs and used to wake up with my first to “pump” because I was scared of losing my supply but then it became painful having all that milk if I didn’t wake up for one nigh so I stopped doing that and my milk supply never decreased. I had the amount that my baby needed. My body would have a lot of milk during the day especially in the morning and great at night and able to go to bed and no waking up. Would you address why you think it’s important to wake up to pump at night? I’d like to learn your point of view. 🩷

I used to make bottles and pump all night and now I don’t make bottles anymore I just let her feed off me all night thank god bc I couldn’t keep getting up when she was sleeping. I’m 4 months pp and still making an over supply now that I don’t do a motn pump! Also my friend only has a wearable, not even a great one and she’s got over 6,000 oz and still making more and we’re both 4 months pp. I think we’re all different bc I would lose milk only using a wearable, but not her!!!

I stopped a MOTN pump and now pump about 4xs a day at 7.5 months post partum. I’m fortunate that I pump about 14-16 ounces when I wake up in the morning

I actually feed on one side and pump on the other and I do it once to two times a night. My supply seems to be getting better.

How do you know to wait for the second let down? I go back to the first setting to get a letdown and wait 3 min but nothing comes. I pump 4oz in about 7-8 min but pump for 10-11
