Peak season means seasonal hires that aren't allowed or qualified to drive the standard trucks. it's company policy. So they rent other trucks. I've worked at UPS for 7 years. this happens every year

I’m glad you’re showing this. More ppl need to know we’re gonna be out here in uhauls, budgets, penskes, flyers and more. We have drivers getting gns pulled on them for showing up in those (mostly happens in rural areas)

This is extremely common, especially as we get closer to Christmas. They rent trucks because they only need them for a few weeks around the end of the year. No point in owning extra trucks that sit unused the other 11 months out of the year

My friend ordered an air conditioning unit from Walmart, that was delivered by Amazon. Now Walmart thinks the package was lost and refunded them.🤣🤣🤣

Our companies have to rent out multiple vans to keep up with the volume of packages that need to go out a day so whether it’s a white van a U-Haul a Hertz van you’re gonna get your package in one of the vans

Yes very common for ups, FedEx and Amazon to all use rental trucks, and also very common that ups delivers Amazon packages considering Amazon and ups have a contract together

All it means is, we didn’t have enough trucks during Christmas season. There’s not enough trucks to be able to deliver all packages so you get a U-Haul same shit you get your package delivered.
