You were so little, and I loved watching your tiny hands hold that pink iPhone. At the time, it was just another little thing I wanted to spoil you with. I never imagined that one day, something as simple as an old phone would become one of my most treasured possessions. I still have that pink iPhone, sweetheart. The same one your little fingers touched. The same one you held in your tiny hands. I can’t bring myself to part with it because it’s one more piece of a childhood I was so blessed to be part of. It’s strange how ordinary things become priceless when the person you associate them with is no longer part of your everyday life. I never thought I would have to hold on to objects because I couldn’t hold on to you. I would trade every material thing I own for one more afternoon of hearing your laughter, seeing your smile, and watching you grow. Until then, Phupho will keep the little things. The pictures, the drawings, the memories, and yes, even that little pink iPhone.
