@synthetic.8: Neve Campbell Confirms She Is Returning for Scream 8: It’s “In the Pipeline” Neve Campbell, 53, says her showdown with Ghostface is not over yet. Nearly nine months after Scream 7 premiered, she told AP Entertainment in an interview shared on TikTok on Monday, Nov. 2, that she will return for Scream 8. “I’ve got two shows that I’m developing. One I’ve sold, and Scream 8. So, you know that’s in the pipeline as well,” she said. She was asked if she could share anything about the film. “No. You know I could never tell you anything about Scream 8,” she said. But she gave one detail. “I’ll be in it.” Campbell has played Sidney Prescott in six of the main Scream films. She sat out 2023’s Scream 6 because of a salary dispute. In 2022, she said, “I felt the offer that was presented to me did not equate to the value I have brought to the franchise.” On CBS Mornings in February, she said she thought she might never return. “When I said goodbye to it, I thought that was it,” she said. She said she knew her decision to walk away was right. She announced her return for Scream 7 in March 2024. Original stars Courteney Cox, David Arquette, and Matthew Lillard also came back.
