For anyone who’s wondering this was the Christmas truce of 1914 during Christmas Eve night British and German soldiers made peace and sang Carole’s and the next day exchanged gifts and played soccer this only lasted a few days but once generals were notified they made sure it wouldn’t happen again and the two groups went back to the trenches where they were forced to fight each other once more
