@yeelinh365: NTSB UPDATE on the Florida Learjet tragedy 🚨 New evidence shows the aircraft might have broken apart before hitting the ground in Palm Beach County. Key questions still remain unanswered: officials haven't confirmed who was flying the jet or whether a black box was onboard. Investigation is active. Stay tuned for updates. 🕊️ #Tragedy #planecrash #NTSB #newsupdate #aviation
No black box and it was a 55 year old MAN who gave up controlling the aircraft to pray while this AMAZING woman maintained composure and contact with ATC

My friend Helen was a shining light of happiness and sweetness. She was the most fun person to dance with. She was magnetic! My heart is absolutely aching today trying not to envision what being on that flight was like for her and her family. This is the most devastating traumatic thing I’ve almost ever seen. The world feels small and so so sad today. Rest in peace

Why are they saying that he gave up because he was praying? How is him talking to god and her talking to atc any different in this situation. There is no recovery from the icing and over speed with a near vertical decent.

There’s nothing wrong with praying in your final moments. As experienced as he was, he knew they were going to die. As a devout Christian; The Lords Prayer is basically second nature to him, and requires almost 0 brain power to recite. We’ve been saying it since we were 2 years old. Just because he was praying, doesn’t mean he wasn’t doing anything else. He was still trying to fly that plane. Her job as copilot was communication, his was not. One pilot communicates, the other flies the plane. There is nothing to indicate that his eyes were closed in prayer. More likely is he was focused on trying to “land” it without hitting anyone or anything, which he did do.

So many variables. I’m sure she trusted his experience and didn’t question his judgment. Unfortunately I think his experience knew their fate was already determined and she fought to the very end. Tragic and really sad.

Why would they even be flying in such weather conditions?

Lear 60s do not have a black box as they are under 12 passengers. Voice recorder only.

Everybody needs to watch the movie Flight with Denzel Washington to understand what happened and how unlikely it is to survive this scenario.

I think the rear wing broke off. there's gotta be parts laying in someone's yard before the crash area

The voice recording haunts me. My daughter in law is a young pilot and this is too horrible

the fact there was a 4yr old and a 2yr old on the jet... completely breaks me. I just pray they were each held by their mom and dad in their last moments

During the briefing they stated that a black box was not installed on this jet and it is not required on privately owned aircraft.

And why would he ask if “she” was at the controls? How about who was pilot or co pilot.

even if there was a black box, the sheer velocity from the impact due to speed and angle, it probably would not have survived to even be used.

Complacency kills. I think he had been doing it for so long and through the same weather conditions before that he thought they would be fine and he wouldn’t have to turn around. He probably pushed the planes limits like he had done many times before but this time the conditions were worse with the ice and turbulence all at the same time and lead to what happened… I could be wrong only but that’s my thought, I think it could have been a combination of pilot error, weather conditions and plane malfunction all at once. But those are just thoughts, hopefully we can get the actual facts soon.

All we have is hearsay. Testimonies at the impact site say their is a lack of evidence showing anything that resembles a plane. On the other hand, the impact site shows damage similar to a cruise missile.

I thought planes had radar to see storms. How come they didn’t know the storm was there.
