as a vrchat user, so many avatars are AI generated and some worlds are too (i dont go to them but ive seen some world icons being ai slop), its so depressing :C

Not to mention VRchat is a community made game. Community worlds. Models. Items. If the community can create all these things and have no say in how the game is run then that community will disappear.

I knew the VRchat devs especially Tupper were bad the second they started banning mods without any communication. In fact, communicating the exact opposite to the community. They've had to play so much catch up just to get up to where the mods were at. I would argue that they're still not there or it's locked behind their $10 monthly subscription and for what they provide that's absolute insanity. People asked forever for different ways to support them. They chose one of the most Exploitative ways possible to do that. they promised us age verification and it's still not implemented properly. age verification is locked behind vrchat plus but at least you get to keep it after unfortunately It really doesn't do anything like they said it would. I really want the game to be good, but that doesn't mean I can't be critical of it. unfortunately it seems like a lot of the people working there seem genuinely so greedy. I'm not opposed to them making money just the way they have done is disgusting. So many broken promises so much bad blood smh.

What's even funnier is that VRChat has tags that you must add to your avatar if they meet the requirements, such as "adult languages & themes, sexually suggestive, extreme gore, etc" and guess what? A LOT of people don't end up tagging correctly or even at all. They're worried about the AI tag not working when the tag system they already have isn't working 🙏

the other super stupid reasoning for them not adding any sort of ai generated label was because there was no definitive agreement over one of the options on how to label or categorize ai. like if you have THAT many people agreeing there should be some sort of category or label, weather they like ai or not, why not just figure our the best option? whats so wrong with adding an AI tag like any other world/avatar tag? vrchat relies so much on their community to function yet they refuse to listen to their community.
