So I just looked up “my hunger games character “ I haven’t read the book yet can someone tell me what she’s like without spoilers?

"get back to my people" instead of "get to go home" is very interesting and I love that choice

I love Silka she deserved better and thats a fact. I hate what she did to Wellie but I understand why she did it and that she and the other careers were viciously groomed to become killing machines and then later play things and show ponys for the capital. The careers can seem cruel and heartless but this is the same argument for Pitbulls that attack I fear, it's not how they are it is how they are raised.

do you think they'd've shunned/judged her for the chocolate moment if she'd won

I’d genuinely love a book from a careers perspective so we can endure the chaos of how they deal with the hunger games bc they actually are stripped from their innocent sooner than districts who are lower. I feel like we see that shift for lower districts while in the arena and the Careers already have their hard body shield on. I wanna see the development of Silka’s shield. What it took for her to overcome those fears, emotions, and what’s going on in her mind when she has to kill other innocents, what she has been taught to not feel guilty.

If we get a third book, I hope it’s from a career pov. It would be so cool to just see a brand new character who grows up deep in the capitals/career district propaganda just to slowly realize it’s all bs and go crazy. That would give us all three “perspectives” in this new trilogy. Capital, District, and Career

And the thing is she should’ve won. Ofc I’m happy Haymitch did. Though she was the ultimate Victor in my eyes.

it genuinely makes me SICK that the tributes are not seen as children. 12 year olds sent to their deaths omfg

despite silkas attitude and actions during the book the chocolate scene made me love her it also really reminded me about the fact they're all scared children I'm praying it's in the movie
