@christiandailyusa: One man controls nearly two-thirds of everything circling Earth. 🛰️ Nearly 65% of all active satellites in orbit belong to Elon Musk’s SpaceX Starlink network — about 11,100 working Starlink satellites out of roughly 17,000 active satellites in total, according to astronomer Jonathan McDowell’s satellite catalog (October 2026). In June, Look Up’s space index put the figure even higher, at 65.97% — 10,365 Starlinks out of 15,711 active satellites. For perspective: at the start of 2019, there were fewer than 2,000 active satellites in orbit — of every kind, from every country. China, the second-largest operator, has about 1,530 working satellites. Starlink provides internet across the globe, including remote areas and war zones — which means one private company now operates most of humanity’s eyes and connections in orbit.
