@realizecharlotte: A $5.8 BILLION deal could mean big changes for Ballantyne 👀🏢 Charlotte-based RXO is being acquired by Minnesota-based C.H. Robinson, raising questions about the future of its Ballantyne headquarters and the roughly 775 employees who work there. No layoffs have been announced, and the company says there are no immediate changes planned. But when major companies merge, the impact can extend far beyond the office. 💼 Local jobs 🏡 Housing demand 📍 Corporate headquarters 📈 Charlotte’s long-term economic growth Charlotte has worked hard to attract major companies and headquarters over the years. The question now is what this deal could mean for the region. Do you think Charlotte will keep a strong RXO presence after the acquisition, or could we see more jobs shift out of state?👇 Thinking about buying or selling in Ballantyne or South Charlotte? Send us a DM! We’d love to help you navigate the local market.
It will probably go to Minnesota with the amount of savings they’re forecasting, makes sense.

They already fired or paid off most of the RXO employees and the company continues to lose assets... CH Robinson is buying their systems, not the employees that built it. RXO already shed their employees because it's an offshoot of XPO and Express One. So they have downsized multiple times before they landed here after a purchased Conway Logistics when they decided to offload multiple divisions none of which were based here.
