I think Elain is gonna be key in Vallahan. I heard a theory that where Nesta is lady death and Elain is life. And Vallahan mainly want the human lands because they can’t grow crops and I think Elain is gonna bring the land back to life or something. But I think Elain needs to get away to get out of her victim mentality.

It makes more sense to me that Vassa will end up engaged to the prince. It will put Elain and Lucien into a forced proximity, enemies-to-lovers trope, which is what the next book is advertised as. Plus, it just makes more sense politically.
