I agree with this but at the same time it is a little iffy that the infection made them dress in their ceremonial garbs and all. I get Capcom wasn’t trying to be racist and just thought it made for good enemy design but I can see how some people could side eye it

YES THANK YOU THIS IS WHAT I'VE BEEN SAYING! The bad guy in the game is literally a white guy with limitless resources. Resident Evil 5 is an amazing game and I lowkey miss the era of Resident Evil when they weren't scared of touchy subjects or politics

AGREE!! also remember that in RE8 they original villagers were told they were given a vaccine for the Spanish flu. I wouldn’t say it was for racist reasons (Romanians) but rather income based. Umbrella targets the vulnerable and those who they believe won’t be missed
