For anybody that’s wanting to know things behind that. Technically Lowes is not supposed to even exchange it unless you have your proof of purchase. Because when they bought the craftsman warranty, any craftsman piece that you buy it says lifetime warranty with proof of purchase. But it’s so much of a stinking headache that they literally just zeroed the product out and then have the worker cycle count with everything.

My husband dropped his drill and it broke the battery connection off, but was still connected with wires. He took it back to Lowe’s. It was in a set so they couldn’t do a return because it being an asset so they gave us the 800 number for craftsman and he called them not only did they send him a new drill. They sent him another charger and a battery and he did not have to return the broken drill. He kept it for parts because it did still work. It’s just the thing that held the battery was broke.

I was working at Sears and remember when they sold Craftsman to Lowes. it was the largest indicator that the company was going under. Investors pulled out and employees left, including myself. A few months after I left my store was shut down and everyone lost their jobs with no severance
