👇 @cetadoido_festival #cetadoidocy #mjmusiccy

I will only ever tone in the chair, NEVER the backwash - I’ll tell you why… 1. Control - I want to make sure every single strand of hair is covered! When I have toned at the backwash in the past, I found there would be hairs underneath that I’d missed meaning I’d have to go back in and tone again. And if I’m doing a root tap/melt/smudge (whatever you want to call it!), I just can’t section it as precisely as I can when in the chair. Toning in the chair gives me control, I can section the hair properly and apply the toner as and where I need it. 2. Client experience - My clients aren’t just paying me for their hair results, they’re paying me for their experience, so I want them to be as comfortable as possible. I don’t want my clients to hover and hold their head in an uncomfortable position so I can get their toner on, they came to have their hair done, not to have a neck workout! By applying toner whilst my client is in the chair, they’re having a comfortable experience. Especially if the toner takes 10-20mins to develop! I’m not saying this is the correct way of toning, but for me and my clients it works! Hairdressers, are you a chair or backwash toner and why? I want to know! #hair #hairdressers #hairdressing #haircolour
