@unremarkableendo: Endometriosis really said: manage your symptoms, navigate your care, and onboard everyone you know. Unpaid position. No training materials provided. There’s a particular kind of exhaustion that comes from needing support and realizing you have to explain how to give it first. Yes, I looked fine yesterday. Yes, I’m still having symptoms. Yes, I would also love to know when this will stop being a thing. I’m grateful when people want to understand. I can also be tired of finding the words, choosing the resource, and answering the follow-up questions while I’m already trying to get through the day. Both can be true. Being tired of explaining doesn’t mean we don’t appreciate the people who care. Sometimes support looks like remembering what we already shared. Reading the resource. Asking what would help today. Sometimes I have the energy to teach. Sometimes I just need someone in my corner. For anyone who has ever needed help but didn’t have the energy to give the whole lesson: this one is for you. 🤍 #Endometriosis #ChronicIllness #InvisibleIllness #WomensHealth

Lizzie :
both my dad and my husband spent weeks researching and learning endo when a provider referred me to a specialist. THAT was showing up and that absolutely meant the world to me. anyone who loves someone with endo can help by learning and listening to women’s experiences online, and us women can help each other by sharing what we’re comfortable sharing
