@yacht_buoy: This 35-year-old Dutch steel boat has spent every single winter of her life indoors. She is Timeless, a 1991 Klaassenvlet 13.60, built by Klaassen in Voorschoten, and she has had the same owner for the last 25 years. A vlet is a traditional Dutch boat built for the canals, where the bridges are low and the water is shallow. That is why she draws just 1.25 metres and stands only 2.85 metres tall. The same shape would make her right at home on America's Great Loop, and by my estimate, shipping her across would cost somewhere between €25,000 and €60,000. She is 13.60 metres long with a 4 metre beam, a round-bilged steel hull, a teak deck and teak joinery below. A single 113hp MAN diesel gives her a relaxed 8 knots, and she carries 1,300 litres of fuel and 1,200 litres of fresh water. Central heating, double glazing and two cabins sleeping four make her a lovely little liveaboard for canal cruising. This year alone, her owner has had her brightwork stripped and relacquered, a new wiring loom fitted, her engine fully serviced and a new service battery pack installed. She is priced at €149,500 (approx. £125,000 / $167,700). Got a friend who dreams of cruising the canals in something a bit different? Send them this! My full yacht tour and my article on her are waiting for you. Link in my bio. Would you ship her across an ocean? Tell me below. #boattok #yachttok #dutchsteel #liveaboard #greatloop
