@doc_pettit_teach: Remember when MOVIE DAY was a REWARD?! 🍿😂 We finished reading *The Tiger Rising*, and I thought watching the movie would be a wonderful way to celebrate. Apparently, sitting quietly, following a storyline, and surviving a FIFTEEN-SECOND advertisement are now skills that require explicit instruction. And the talking? RIGHT THROUGH THE END CREDITS! 😩 Teachers, are your students capable of sitting through an entire movie without providing their own commentary? Or is this happening everywhere?! #TeacherTok #TeacherHumor #FourthGradeTeacher #overstimulated #ADHD
Can you get your little bitty hand out my face! Omg

My students asked for music on while working on projects. I thought sure they can work quietly while listening to music, it was a failure, the students where yelling over the music 🤦🏼♀️

I used to use a movie as a a period to get my own stuff down. Now, it’s more work!

I'm not a teacher, but I get it! It was like you were describing my grandsons. Asking constant questions about why did they do that? Finally me saying stop talking and listen to what they're saying and watch and you'll get all the answers! Drives me nuts

It used to be an option for when I was out, I’m a music teacher. I took it away because kids cannot just do one thing at a time anymore.

I teach 15/16yr olds that can’t be quiet for a 3min video….. and I point out that if they can’t be quiet for 180 seconds they have a problem

My students beg me all Term (10 weeks in Australia) to watch a movie on the last day. Three times this year I have put a movie on for last day. We haven't gotten through a movie once. Zero for three.
