@ryanhallyall: People think a jet at 35,000 feet flies above the weather. On Sunday, Nov. 1, 2026, a storm top over Palm Beach County, Florida grew right into this jet's path. All nine people on board died. What caused the crash is for investigators to determine.
Hes not a flight expert. But really really good at weather. And i also believe weather played a role. Good take man. 👍

The storm ceiling was 50,000 ft, not sure why ATC did not have or relay this info to the pilots, ascending to 37,000 most likely caused the aircraft to stall when angle of attack was increased with hull iced up..

Dang, 76 seconds is over a minute of absolute terror. So sad. I’ve counted down a minute waiting for my food in the microwave and it can seem like forever

As a Kansan, some storm tops can reach 45-50,000 feet, so yeah

Unfortunately they were in the middle of climbing to 37,000 feet when the cell grew.

How much of a warning do pilots receive about weather? If the thunderstorm was there before taking off, why not delay/cancel the flight.

When the nose dropped is when they lost the rear stabilizer and it went down from there! Sorry for the pun!

What I don’t understand is why they flew through it.. my biggest thing is I have to absolutely trust somebody I don’t know to know not to fly through something like that and trust that they wouldn’t. That’s what I cannot wrap my brain around and why I have such flight anxiety.. but I guess it’s like getting in a car and driving when the weather is terrible. You just never know… at least that’s what I keep telling myself.

Why would that route even get approved in the first place? I’ve had commercial flights canceled for smaller

Weather radar tweeted that the clouds raised 10k feet in minutes at their location. So unlucky I had no idea storms could move that quick vertically

They were going to ascend before this happened. I’m curious if it was a mechanical malfunction or just the weather that caused it.

Thank you for explaining that. Im tired of people suggesting that the plane was hit by a missile. Its just downright disrespectful 😔.

I heard that they are supposed to fly around a storm by 20 miles. Did they think they were going around the big storm, not paying attention to the other storm blowing up. Tragic
