@6abcactionnews: It was apex predator versus garden tools in southeast Texas recently, as authorities corralled an alligator through a suburban neighborhood with a rake, hoe, and wheelie trash can. Michael Schwab, who took this video on Sunday, November 1, told Storyful the alligator was spotted hiding under a truck five houses down from him. “I drove by to see the police arrived to help contain the gator. They used rakes, a garbage can, and garden hoe to move it away from the house to get to the bayou behind the neighborhood,” he said. “This is my second encounter with an alligator by a house, the first time in my neighborhood though. We are so used to the gators, they are very docile. But you always want to be careful,” he added.
