Wife and I were on honeymoon in Hawaii. We were at a large luau and it had dinner service. There was a family from NYC that was very entitled and rude to all the servers the whole time. Me: “Excuse me, I know you are busy but is it possible to get another drink or refill, please?” - server ran off, brought me and my new wife drinks and thanked us profusely for asking nicely. I gave him a larger tip since he clearly was having a rough night.

I was never a server, but a lot of my acquaintances were. I believe a majority would agree that a pet peeve they had was when they delivered the drinks to the table and they chug their drink after the server walks away. As the server is walking by the table after greeting another table, the customer who chugged their drink lifts their glass into the air to rattle the ice to get their server’s attention. My ex girlfriend did that. I shook my head at her
