@predictthevote: My final House prediction has Democrats winning 236 seats and Republicans winning 199, giving Democrats control of the chamber. I have 28 seats flipping Democratic and seven flipping Republican, for a net Democratic gain of 21 seats. I think the blue national environment and Democratic enthusiasm will be enough to overcome Republican advantages in many competitive districts, including some of the newly redrawn seats. Suburban races will be especially important, but candidate quality and incumbency should still help some Republicans hold on even as their party loses the majority. There are plenty of close calls on this map, and a small shift in turnout could change several results. Ultimately, though, I expect a clear Democratic House majority, with Republicans holding onto much of their rural base while losing ground in the battleground districts. #electionday #congress #ushouse #midtermelections #trump
