I create documentation. I share it and train others on my team. I’m valuable for my knowledge and skills not for what I try to keep secret. I’m not irreplaceable but I do cost $250/hour 4 hour min as a contractor to come back and fix what’s broken because people willfully ignore training and documentation.

When I was much younger, my employer, let me go and my job because he thought he could get somebody a little bit cheaper and we kiss his butt. When the owner found out two days later and things started falling apart, they literally beg me to come back and I said absolutely not.
